As a publicist on the Shelton Interactive team, Sara Pence has amassed a wealth of public relations experience through working on campaigns for business book authors, health professionals, nonprofit organizations and much more.
Sara has helped build platforms and generate publicity for some of the nation’s most prominent brands, books and thought leaders. She has worked with New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller Sally Hogshead, author of How the World Sees You, bestsellers Kenneth Cukier and Viktor Mayer-Schonberge, authors of Big Data, national bestselling series Chicken Soup for the Soul, UPLIFT Desk and more.
She has also had the privilege to work alongside teams at leading publishing houses such as B&H Publishing Group, HarperCollins, Berrett-Koehler and Thomas Nelson to develop and implement publicity strategies for a variety of clients.
Nothing is more exciting to Sara than being able to tell clients they received an awesome media hit. She has secured coverage for her clients in national news outlets such as The Huffington Post, Forbes.com, Fast Company, Entrepreneur.com, Relevant and more.
Born and raised a Texas Longhorn, Sara received a bachelor of science in communication studies while also earning a certificate in business foundations through McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas.
No backpack or boots are needed to get Sara to explore all that Austin has to offer and beyond – she loves to travel and her “places to visit” list will never stop growing. When she isn’t seeking adventure outside of the Lone Star State, you will probably find her soaking up the local country-music scene, cooking or playing fetch with her tabby cat, Barney.
